My husband and I took a day trip to Gangneung, a city on the east coast of Korea. We decided to take the dogs along so they could experience the beach. Although we would have loved good weather for our trip, the rain did provide one key benefit: an empty beach! As you can see in the picture above, they were eager to get out of the car and stretch their legs!

Webby had an absolute blast running around. She loves running in the sand–and since her beloved Bokha riverbank has been under construction recently, she hasn’t been able to get her daily running fix. As you can see in the bottom right corner, the gulls were as exciting to chase as the pigeons, ducks and field mice she usually chases in Icheon. I love how funny she looks in the bottom left pic: NO EARS! When she’s racing at her top speed, her ears are pulled back, and you can see her white teeth flashing against her black fur. If only her sheer love of running would rub off on me ;)!

Here’s Hoochoo joining in on the action. When Webby ran full speed at her, Hoochoo crouched into the funniest positions before joining in the running rampage!

I think it’s a pretty safe bet that this was Hoochoo’s first time ever at the beach. She was SO cute exploring the sand that I couldn’t help but smile whenever I looked at her. My husband caught my goofy grin in the bottom left pic :)!

Webby and Hoochoo, so happy together~~~ All in all, it was a great day at the beach!
